Applied Mechanics, Specialization Course

The student must choose the subject
Fluid Mechanics (Prof T. Ytrehus) with 7.5 study points or two of the following subjects, each with 3.75 study points:
Product Simulation (Prof O. I. Sivertsen).
Forming of Metals (Prof T. Welo).
Composite Structures (1.aman N. P. Vedvik).
Robust Material Choice and Design in Offshore (Prof. C Thaulow).
Methods for Analysis and Assessment (Prof G. Harkegård).
Rheology og Non-Newtonian Fluids (1.aman E. N. Dahl).
Impact and Energy Absorpsion (Prof M. Langseth).
Fatigue and fracture mechanics (Prof. P.J. Haagensen).

The course will give in-depth knowledge in a confined part of the field of applied mechanics.

The subjects are given as lectures, with possible exercises, seminars or self study. The lectures and exercises are in English when students who do not speak Norwegian take the course. In case of continuation exams, these will be arranged before the end of the same exam period. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
