About this course

Content

Units, ideal gas law and van der Waals equation of state, thermodynamics, phase equilibriums, colloidal properties, electrolyte solutions, electrochemistry and reaction kinetics.


Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
The candidate has knowledge of thermodynamics.
The candidate has basic knowledge about phase equilibriums.
The candidate has broad and basic knowledge in electrochemistry.
The candidate has knowledge of reaction kinetics.

Skills:
The candidate can solve theoretical, technical and practical problems in thermodynamics, electrochemistry and reaction kinetics.
The candidate can plan and carry out simple experiments in physical chemistry, document the work and report the results.

General competence:
The candidate has sufficient basis for further studies in the fields of corrosion, chemistry and thermodynamics.
