About this course

Content

The students’ choice of both Specialization course and Specialization project must be approved by the institute in the semester prior to the semester in which it is to be carried out. A list containing specific topics for projects is distributed during the spring semester prior to choosing a Specialization. Individual project proposals may specify certain 4th year courses and theory subjects as compulsory for taking that specific project. In all cases, the project supervisor must approve the student’s choice of theory subjects. The actual scientific contents may vary from project to project.

Learning outcomes

The goal is to teach students to produce an academic report within their field of specialization.

Teaching methods

The project consists of scientific work carried out independently by the student, supervised by the scientific staff. The project should result in a written report judged by academic standards. The project is done alone or in groups of up to three students.
