About this course
Content
The course is a further specialization within relevant subjects of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and builds on subjects presented in the obligatory courses in the 1st year of the Master Programme in Entrepreneurship (MIENTRE/MENTRE). The choice of subjects for the seminar may vary from one year to another, and is linked to the problems which need to be solved in the Specialization project chosen in TIØ4535 Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Specialization Project. Included is also a seminar series on research methods, tailored to what is relevant for the students in their projects and master thesis work.
Learning outcomes
The goal of the specialization course is to allow the students to specialize within a particular branch of innovation and entrepreneurship, and to build further knowledge on specific themes from the courses in the 1st year of the Master Programme in Entrepreneurship (MIENTRE/MENTRE). Also, the student should be sufficiently skilled at designing and evaluating research methods to be able to handle the needs of the project and master thesis.
Teaching methods
The course will provide in depth insight into core issues of entrepreneurship, and help the student to find their own position within the theoretical fields. The course will also give a basis for conducting empirical research on relevant issues, choose research methods and find an efficient research design.
