About this course

Content

A fictive case guides the student through different managerial challenges linked to the start-up, development and day-to-day management of a company. Included are a) organisational challenges, including change- and development processes; b) economical challenges including a basic understanding of accounting, investments and microeconomics; c) legal challenges including business and administrative law, and d) business development and technology-based entrepreneurship.

Learning outcomes

The course should give an introduction to the areas of organisational theory, economic theory and business law. In addition, students should understand challenges related to technology-based entrepreneurship. Through their work with the exercises, students will be trained to recognise problems, to see challenges in a holistic perspective and to develop communication skills and problem solving capabilities.

Teaching methods

The course spans a number of different themes. Through the case, the links between these themes, as well as the relevance of each, will be made evident. Students will work in groups on exercises linked to this case. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.
