Petroleum Geology, Specialization Course

Two 3.75 sp topics or one 7.5 sp topic must be selected from the following list:
Sedimentology (Maarten Felix), 3.75 or 7.5 sp.
Basin analysis, basin modelling(professor Stephen John Lippard), 3.75 or 7.5sp.
Reservoir geology, diagenesis (professor Mai Britt E. Mørk), 3.75 or 7.5 sp.
Arctic geology(professor Atle Mørk), 3.75 or 7.5 sp.

Ingress:
- The course will provide in-depth knowledge in the field of study.

Knowledge:
- The student will acquire specialized knowledge in support of project completion in the field of study.

Skills:
- The student will be able to find scientific literature and extract the main elements that are relevant to the project.

General competence:
- Increased understanding of the field of study.

Topics are normally given as supervised individual study, but can also include exercises, seminars or free-standing lectures. Information about this (including weighting) will be given at the start of the course. The course will be held in English if international students attend.
