Content

Oblique shocks. Prandtl-Meyer expansions. Expansion limit. Open channel flows. Hydraulic jumps. Measurements of volume flow. Multi-phase flow. Stratified and diperged flow. Coupling between phases. General theory of rotating machinery. Pumps and water turbines. Cavitation.

Learning outcomes

The course aims at giving the student advanced knowledge in Fluid Mechanics.

Teaching methods

Lectures, self study and exercises, half of which must be accepted. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
