About this course
Content
1. Sustainable innovation, ecosophy and social entrepreneurship.
2.Sustainable development, opportunities related to technology development I4.0, digitalization and big data.
3.Creative Techniques in Problem Solving.
4.Innovation process from improvement idea to application. Introduction to principles and methods in development projects: Open Innovation, Integrated Product Development (IPD), Dynamic Product Development (DPD).
5.Intrapreneurship in business: interaction and process innovation, knowledge driven, employee driven, customer driven innovation..
6.Problem-formulating innovation project and anchored project plan with detailed division of responsibilities and responsibilities.
7.Concept description, presentation technique and dissemination.
It is not assumed that the student will develop new technology but it is expected that the student will be able to use new technology and methodology in such a way that it leads to improvement in the subject area.
Learning outcomes are assessed in a folder, students receive feedback along the way before final exam submission.

Knowledge
The student has knowledge of global and social challenges and the need for innovation.
The student is familiar with the possibility of sustainable technology development, I.4.0, digitalization and big data.
The student has knowledge of how innovation is based on interaction, cooperation and social entrepreneurship. The student has knowledge of methods in development projects: Open Innovation, Integrated Product Development (IPD), Dynamic Product Development (DPD).
The student has knowledge of how one creates and facilitates knowledge-driven innovation in businesses and in society (intrapreneurship)
Skills:
The student has the skills to contribute to knowledge-based innovation in business and society. The student can find, understand and make use of relevant knowledge and technology.
The student has skills in creative problem solving techniques and to take initiative, lead and follow up ideas for value creation.
The student is able to design a milestones development project.
The student has the skills to contribute in a sustainable innovation project and interact in teams. The student has the skills to convey his work in a comprehensive and convincing manner.
The student has the ability to evaluate and argue for the effects of sustainable innovation.
About the assessment:
General knowledge
The student has an understanding of the need for sustainable innovation in businesses and in society. The student can contribute to sustainable innovation in terms of health, environment and ethics.
The student can apply knowledge within his field of study to analyze current practice and reveal potential for improved practice.
The student can propose a professionally motivated solution for changed practice with the benefit of: efficiency (economics), environment (reduction of resource use / environmental impact) and quality of life (social human needs and relationships).
The student has a positive attitude towards contributing to sustainable innovation in collaboration with fellow students, researchers and companies.
