Learning outcomes

At the end of the term, students should be able to:

- Describe the regulations that apply to plastic and composites

- Describe various methods of plastic and composite manufacturing processes and plan production processes for selected products

- Understand the main principles for sustainability

- Understand the basic recycling methods of polymer-based products

- Identify the most important factors in a production process with emphasis on sustainability, innovation and recycling

Excursions, lectures, lab exercises, project work

Additional information:

Online students may require 1 compulsory laboratory at Gjøvik during the semester.

Mandatory work requirements:

There are two laboratory exercises where two separate lab reports are to be written.

In case of less than 10 students registered, the course will be arranged as a self study with guidance.
