- Students should be able to see the choice of production method in a holistic perspective. This means in particular ecological, environmental conditions.
- Students should have sufficient knowledge of different production processes to understand how choice of Method affects a product development process.

The course is targeted for completion for both campus students and online students. Students are free to choose the form of communication that best adapted to individual needs. The course is taught by 12 to 14 lectures on campus that are open to all.

- Some tutorials where students can participate
During the semester, a 4 day gathering on campus for online students where they should conduct laboratory work. This aligned with planned industial visits.
Compulsory Requirements: 7-10 lab assignments delivered individually or in groups. 70% of lab assignments must be approved minnimum two weeks
prior to the exam.
The assessments are usually based on the compulsory lab work.
