Biotechnology, Specialization Course

Each student select two specialization course modules, totalling 7,5 sp. The following courses modules (3.75 sp) are taught by the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science:

- Statistics and Research Planning

- Biopolymer materials - functionality and applications

- Bioinformatics

- Descriptive sensory methods

- other modules can be offered in addition alt. as replacement for existing modules, information will be given at course start

For master students in Food and technology (FTMAMAT) the modules "Statistics and Research Planning" and "Descriptive sensory methods" are compulsory.

Specialization courses modules (3.75 sp) offered by other departments can be chosen after appointement with the course coordinator.

Exam is given for both the chosen specialization course modules.

The students will have comprehensive knowledge and skills in relevant theory, methods, current problems and fields of applications within the chosen topics.

The teaching of the courses may include lectures, study groups, self-tuition, written reports and oral presentation. The course will be given in english if international master students are taking the course. Total workload around 200 hours.
