Traditional Skill 3

Traditional professional practice 3 constitutes a significant part of the basic education in the bachelor's course in traditional building crafts where learning takes place through one's own practical work. Through participation and training at a learning arena, the student will acquire broad and versatile insight into practical work in traditional building crafts. In the course, project-based work with supervision is planned. The learning arena in collaboration with NTNU is working on a project plan as a framework for the practice at the learning arena.

Knowledge the candidate must have knowledge of traditional construction methods. The candidate has knowledge of documentation methods for material use, techniques and procedures Skills. The candidate can handle the most central tools and knows relevant methods and procedures within the subject area. The candidate can produce material according to traditional methods. The candidate can perform ordinary traditional wooden joints. The candidate can build traditional wooden buildings. General competence: The candidate can evaluate and document traditional wooden constructions. The candidate can obtain and document knowledge from his practice. The candidate can impart his knowledge and practical skills to other professionals

Practical project-based construction work with professional guidance, reporting of work performed. Presentation of selected specialization topic in the form of one of the parts; report, blog or oral presentation.
