The Building Process, Central and Local Government Administration

"Kulturminnerett" is the study of the use of legal instruments in cultural heritage, as well as the rights and obligations arising out of that society will preserve heritage. "Kulturminnerett" include elements that span multiple jurisdictions. Particularly central in this course are the legal issues related to the Cultural Heritage Act, the Planning and Building Act and the Public Administration. The course discusses on cultural heritage dilemmas in relation to more general social trends. The central discussion will be linked to the dimension change - preservation, and will be linked to concrete examples from the field of practice and further procedural and issues related to practice in cultural heritage institutions in management and museums. It provides an overview of the legislation as part of the overall environment and resource management. Levels of management and management responsibilities are reviewed, and the procedure of defining the responsibilities, approvals and notification are themes in the process.
