Geodesy and Photogrammetry

Geodesy: Coordinate and height references, geoid, geoidal height models. Map projections, corrections of measurements. GPS: Measure methods, methods of calculations of base lines. Mathematical statistics, estimation.
Photogrammetry: Mathematical foundation, perspective and spatial coordinate transformation. Characteristics of cameras and images. Reconstruction of stereoimages. Planning of photography and mapping. Introduction to digital and close-range photogrammetry.

This course shall give further knowledge of the basic mathematical and statistical theory that applies to geodesy and photogrammetry, as well as practical experience with methods and equipment.

Lectures, computing and laboratory exercises. A subset of the assignments counts 30 % in the final grade. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may be changed from written to oral.
