Construction Engineering, Advanced Course

Main topics are: Construction Engineering (tunnelling and subsurface use), Production management in building and construction.

Knowledge:

To convey in-depth knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in a limited field within construction engineering and production management, e.g. planning and construction of underground spaces, subsea tunnels, ventilation of tunnels, production management, productivity.

Skills:

The student is able to use relevant knowledge and methods related to the focus area, e.g. design and plan underground space, measure and analyze productivity.

General competence:

The student may perform an analysis of alternatives in a construction project. The student may use scientific literature and update herself on current research in a specific topic.

The teaching may be given as lectures, seminars, laboratory teaching or guided self-study. Assignments and term report.
