Digital Literacy - Smart Learning

The course has several goals. You will learn about the consequences of digitizing in the schools and the education system. You will increase your digital competence by learning about the theoretical perspectives behind the development of digital services. In addition, you will learn to utilize a range of digital services that you can use in your practice as teacher and develop your own digital learning and knowledge processes, which are formed as you progress through the course.

- The aim of the course is that you will develop a thoughtful relation to the use of digital services in various teaching and Learning processes
- Participants will master the use of different digital learning resources and services
- Participants will develop their own digital skills and a deeper understanding of how digital technologies effect education systems and processes of learning.
- Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the role of the school, the teacher and the pupil in a digital learning environment.
- Participants will gain insight into new digital learning practices, and learn to use digital services to develop their own "personal learning networks" (PLN).

The course is organized as an online course throughout the course period, and the online course run on NTNU's MOOC platform digit.no. It consists of 8 modules and a home exam. All exercises in the course must be completed and passed before the examination paper can be submitted.
