About this course

Content

Resources and capabilities, ethics, strategy perspectives, competition, strategy choices and paradigm.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student:

Knowledge:

  • Have broad knowledge of how strategic processes take place in sustainable organizations
  • Know modern research in the field of strategy with special emphasis on the resource-based paradigm.
  • Is able to update their knowledge by understanding strategic aspects of case descriptions

Skills:

  • Can apply and make reasoned choices based on a theoretical understanding of the field of strategy
  • Can reflect on own choices in the field of strategy
  • Can master relevant tools and forms of expression in the field

General competence:

  • Has insight into issues related to competition environment, competitive prerequisites and abilities
  • Know new thinking and innovations in the strategy field.

Teaching methods

Online recorded learning activities. The recorded lectures will cover the curriculum. It will be limited lectures due to early exam and two papers based on the given previous exams or other work must be approved before the exam. Besides previous exams (4 years back), there will be provided new cases/questions for the students for praxis. In sum, at least 6 possible questions/tasks will be to base the handed-in papers on.

Q&A session will be arranged before exam.
