Part 2 (50%)
- Introduction to the ERP-system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC)
- Setting up a work center, product structures and processes
- Creating product cards, customer cards, supplier cards
- Creating orders and book receipt of goods
- Create sales order and book the sale of goods
- planning for production based on stockholding and sales order data
- Administer the purchase cycle in BC
- Administer the sales cycles in BC
Learning outcomes
In this course, the student shall learn about digital supply chains, digital supply chain strategies and experimenting with enterprise resource planning systems to transform supply chains. Students will get
knowledge to:
- describe how digital tools can enhance the firms supply chain strategy.
- describe the importance of business process design and redesign towards business process improvement
- demonstrate the use of ERP system information to optimize material, information, and financial flows of a business operation.
skills to:
- apply different tools from digital supply chain management for business process improvement
- generate reports using an ERP system and other advanced spreadsheets and databases
- systematically extract data from internal business processes in order to evaluate the performance of a supply chain.
General competences to:
- develop a basic understanding of the role of digital supply chain management in creating competitive advantage
- develop a basic understanding of how to apply business process management tools data for business process improvement
- develop a good understanding of the logic of the integration of sales, purchasing, accounting, finance, and production data for business decision making
