Qualitative Research Methods II

Health- and welfare research is often depending on information from vulnerable people that could be hard to get in touch with due to e.g cognitive difficulties, mental problems or language problems. The course will give the students a thorough introduction to what we know about this issue and how it can be handled in empirical research. The approach this course will have will be announced prior to the course. Further will this course stimulate the students to develop a critical understanding to this kind of data and what different kind of challenges could mean for the validity and accuracy in research. Participants are expected to read papers from students that take part in the course with paper (Qualitative research methods I). One will be appointed as discussant for at least one of the papers.

To develop the candidates qualifications due to designing knowledge with high scientific quality about vulnerable groups of people in our society.
