About this course
Content
Presentation of academic texts that promote understanding of and reflection on a cluster of specified anthropological topics. Emphasis is given to informational approaches to various aspects of culture, with relevance also for anthropological analysis of modern phenomena of culture, as well as to monographic in-depth studies and comparisons relevant for students fieldwork.
Learning outcomes
- Have knowledge of central analytical concepts, theoretical approaches and basic methodological discussions within social anthropology.
- To independently choose relevant theoretical perspectives in the planning of their own research project
Teaching methods
Lectures/seminars (approx. 36 hours). Some of the lectures may be given in English.
