Cultural Understanding and International Cooperation

This course focuses on cultural variations and cross-cultural relationships. The goal is to convey a general cultural understanding in order to help contact and cooperate across cultures. The emphasis is on providing a general introduction to social anthropological thinking with insight into cross-cultural communication, social impact and social responsibility with e.g. business operation and aid work.

This course will provide an introduction to cultural understanding as a basis for reflective and constructive behavior when faced with the experience of foreign cultures.

Lectures (approx. 14 hours).
4-hour written exam.
