About this course
Content
This course offers an introduction to theories of effective resource management. We also discuss questions of income distribution, different forms of market failure, the theoretical basis of economic regulations, and problems of public decision making.
Learning outcomes
Students should have knowledge of the most important arguments in favour of economic regulations, and should be able to apply microeconomic models to analyze the influence of economic regulations.
Teaching methods
4 hours of lectures every week and 2 hours of practical assignments every second week.
Compulsory activity: 2 approved term papers. Both term papers can be written as a joint project by up to four students.
