About this course

Content

This course focuses on the behavior of households and firms under different economic constraints. General equilibrium theory is also introduced.

You learn

  • definitions of key microeconomic concepts
  • how the consumer's demand for goods and services is affected by prices and income
  • how the firm's supply and it’s demand for inputs are affected by product- and factor prices
  • how the microeconomic analytical tools can be applied to specific issues

Skills

You should be able to

  • explain the microeconomic concepts and optimal choice of consumers and firms
  • analyze specific issues using graphical and mathematical analysis

You should be able to

  • follow economic reasoning related to the course in the public debate and professional reports

Teaching methods
