Religion and Ethics

The course includes:
- A basic introduction to the past and present world religions, as well as some contemporary religious movements and practices.
- A basic introduction to the terms and comparative tools of religious studies.
- A discussion of cross-cultural issues of importance to multicultural environments, such as religion and ethics, as well as religion and gender.

The course will provide an introduction to the distinctive character of religious studies, its basic concepts and methodical thinking, and offer a systematic survey of the numerous religions of humanity.
