Russian 1

The course gives an introduction to Russian language with emphasis on pronunciation, listening comprehension and basic grammar. The course aims to develop a certain understanding of Russian culture and society through conversations and the study of texts.

The students should gain oral proficiency in Russian. They should be able to engage in elementary conversations in Russian, and should be able to read and write simple texts. The students should also gain some insight into Russian culture and society.

Lectures and group sessions. The course is taught during a period of six weeks at the Norwegian university centre in St. Petersburg, Russia. For further information please consult the NTNU webpages in due time before the starting date.
