Speciality - Education

The subject matter involves a development of student’s knowledge of education with a focus on mental health issues, practice in mental health clinical settings, and the educator’s contribution to mental health teamwork.
Learning difficulties, especially those associated with child and adolescent mental health problems are a natural focus of interest. The course also includes material designed to develop students’ competence in consultation and inter-professional cooperation, and dissemination of knowledge of mental health problems in schools, kindergarten and school psychological services.

Å gi studentene en økt forståelse for det teoretiske og metodiske grunnlaget for arbeid innenfor barn og unges psykiske helse. Faget ønsker å fremme integreringen av den pedagogiske, psykiatriske, sosiale og psykologiske forståelsen av barn og unges problem, med særlig vekt på utvikling av eget potensiale til lek og læring.
