Clinical Psychlogy III

The course gives an introduction both in how to assess mental disorders and psychological problems, in addition to show the diversity related to differents approaches of psychotherapy.
The course gives a broad introduction in how to understand and treat mental problems among adults. Curriculum and lectures covers the most important psychiatric disorders both related how these disorders are developed and maintained, and how they could be treated in psychotherapy.

Knowledge:
The student has an advanced knowledge about the most important psychotherapeutic approaches, and the evidence base for psychotherapy related to different mental disorders.
Skills:
The student have gained insight in how mental problems are developed and maintained, and how different psychotherapeutic approaches could be used to treat these mental problems.
The student have gained insight in practical psychological skills in psychotherapy, and skills on basis for consultative work in connection with relatives, other clinicians, personel at institutions, teachers and others.
General competence:
The student has gained insight to the different problems which should be addressed related to the development, assessment and treatment of mental problems and disorders.
