About this course

Content

The course will shed light on how communication works in organizations and what meaning this can have. Is it correct to say that communication is the “glue” in an organization? What type of communicative expertise should leaders in these organizations have? What does communication consist of in a modern organization and what role is played by ICT? What rules exist in communication and what is the relationship between formal and informal communication? And how can communication in an organization be made more effective? These are some of the main questions which will be discussed in the course.

Learning outcomes

The course gives insight into how communication works in modern organizations from both a psychological and a communications theory perspective, experience in carrying out a project in the subject matter.

Teaching methods

Teaching method and activities: Lectures, seminars, field work, supervision.
Form of assessment: Project work (A through F).
