About this course
Content
The course contents work and organizational psychology. The course will give the students an overview over traditional and new theories in the field, more specifically in the following topics: recruiting, work environment, occupational health, leadership and change processes.
The course also aims to give the students these theories to illustrate present-day topics in the field.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
The student has wide knowledge of classical and new theories and constructs in the field of organizational psychology, especially in the field of recruitment, psychosocial work environment, worker health, leadership and organizational change.
The student has knowledge of the history and development of the field
The student has insight in the current trends and development in Norwegian work life.
Skills:
The student is capable of utilizing relevant theories and research findings to articulate both practical and theoretical research questions in order to emphasize current topics in the field.
The student is capable of contributing in discussions of relevant topics.
General competence:
The student has wide theoretical insight of different topics in the literature of organizational psychology.
The student can contribute to good practice and development in organizations.
Teaching methods
Lectures 4 hours per week.
