Personality Psychology 1

This course discusses the concept of personality, and gives an introductory knowledge of the main theories, methods and research findings related to the three main questions questions in personality psychology.

Knowledge:
The student has basic knowledge concerning the major personality theories.

Skills:
The student can explain and comprehend key domains in personality psychology.
The student can discuss various methods and basic results in personality psychology.
The student can define key concepts within each domain of personality psychology.
The student can explain, compare and discuss basic theories of personality psychology.
The student has working knowledge of how the different domains are utilized within personality psychology.

General competence:
The student should be able to convey independent work, and master the course mode of expression.

Teaching method and activities: Lectures 2 hours per week, studygroups.
Most lectures will be given in Norwegian, some can be given in English, but the main language of the course is Norwegian.
