Educational theory 2 for ITE 8-13

Emnet er en del av profesjonsfaget i lektorutdanningen, og ett av i alt tre pedagogikkemner.

I dette emnet legges fokus på lærerens møte med elevmangfoldet i skolen. Viktige tema i emnet er tilpasset opplæring og mangfold og inkludering. Emnet legger vekt på allmenndidaktiske perspektiver som grunnlag for å fortolke læreplaner, planlegge undervisning og kunne tilrettelegge for tilpasset opplæring. Sentralt i faget er også å utvikle studentenes relasjonelle ferdigheter på en slik måte at de er i stand til å bygge et konstruktivt og inkluderende læringsmiljø og møte elever, foresatte og kolleger med faglig og mellommenneskelig kompetanse.

Det å snakke, lese og skrive et språk (fagspråk) utvikler studenten til en selvstendig lærer. Emnet bidrar til utvikling av evnen til å stille kritiske spørsmål.

• Can safeguard the rights of Sámi pupils and pupils from national minorities in the school
• Can lead and motivate pupils and create constructive and inclusive learning environments

Teaching in the subject promotes variation in activities to promote the students' pedagogical knowledge, skills and general competencies.

A certification responsibility has been ascribed to NTNU, to ensure that students master key competences for their future profession as teachers for grades 8-13. A minimum of 75 % attendance is hence required to be allowed to sit the exam in the course. It is essential that students develop into independent and responsible teachers who are able to cooperate with peer students and future colleagues. Personal effort is hence important not only for own learning, but also for peers' and colleagues' professional development. All obligatory activities must be approved before students can sit the exams.
