International Political Economy

The course offers an introduction to the field of international political economy, i.e. the interaction between markets and states at the international level. The students will be introduced to various theoretical models as well as previous empirical studies.

Knowledge - the student shall:

• have an overview of the field of international political economy
• have knowledge of the theoretical models and empirical research in the area

Skills - the student shall demonstrate the ability to:

• treat one of the themes which was discussed in instruction in an independent empirical analytical manner which fulfills the requirements for scientific writing

Lectures/group discussions. Supervision of term paper. The language of instruction is English. If 6 or fewer students attend the course the two first weeks of teaching, the course will be offered as an individual study course with supervision.
