Analysis and Modelling for Sustainable Manufacturing and Logistics

The course aims to enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of the state-of-art within sustainable manufacturing and logistics. Sustainable operations is here defined as operations designed to purposely support sustainable development and meet an organisation's objectives with regards to the social, economic and environmental impacts of those operations. The course considers how sustainability can be included in strategic, tactical and operational design with the aim of achieving more efficient and effective resource utilisation across the entire supply chain. Key topics include introduction to sustainability issues, strategies and visions, supply chain design, supply chain planning and control, and performance measurement.

Knowledge;

The student should have an overview of models and tools to analyse the sustainability of an industrial value chain.

To pass the course, a score of at least 70 percent is required.

The course is given every two years, next in Spring 2028.
