Current Issue

This course focuses on contemporary research topics, questions, and methods relevant to the field of education and lifelong learning. The theme, approach, and course coordinator may vary. A separate course description will be created for each instance in which a specific theme is offered under this course code.

The course may be offered in the autumn and/or spring, and will be available at irregular intervals following a special announcement. Participants are expected to write a paper within the scope of the course content, which may also be linked to their individual PhD projects.

Knowledge:

The candidate has advanced knowledge, and is in the forefront of the course content and its body of knowledge.

Skills:

The candidate can formulate relevant research questions, and manage complex academic issues in relation to the topic of the course.

General competence:

The candidate can carry out his/her research with scholarly integrity, and use an independent and critical approach to own and others research.

Lectures, seminars and discussions. The course may be taught in either Nordic language or English. The course is offered when teaching resources are available and can be changed or cancelled if less than 5 PhD candidates are registered. Maximum: 10 PhD candidates.
