Project development

The course provides project planning and project development, focusing on designing a methodical approach for one's own master's project. It includes topics such as academic writing with an emphasis on the master's thesis, literature search, evaluating the quality of academic texts and research projects, as well as current research at the institute.

The student has:

• in-depth knowledge of planning and conducting scientific projects
• advanced knowledge of the scientific genre and presentation
• advanced knowledge of literature search and review
• advanced knowledge of ethical guidelines for research
• advanced knowledge of quality criteria in academic texts and research projects

The subject provides a basis for carrying out a separate master's degree project. One of the purposes of the work in the subject is that it should be possible to reuse it in the master's thesis.

Lecture/Seminar: 2 hours of lecture/seminar per week in weeks 34-40. Orientation Day: Information on current master's projects and presentation of available supervisors. Held at the beginning of the semester (usually in week 36). Mandatory activities: At least 80% attendance at all lectures, as well as participation in the orientation day. Coursework requirements: Coursework requirements must be fulfilled before the examination submission. The number of coursework requirements will be determined by the start of semester.
