Literature, technology and media

The academic content of the course, i.e. topic and theory will vary from one academic year to another. The course provides a study of a selection of Scandinavian literary works and a selection of relevant theoretical texts.

Candidates will have obtained the following qualifications after successfully completing this course:

Knowledge​

• have theoretic and historic knowledge of the relationship between literature, technology and media

Skills

• the ability to make use of reflect on theoretical-methodological approaches within a limited area of literary science
• the ability to analyse texts in context, such as an authorship or a literary work, a theme or a theoretical perspective
• the knowledge that is required in order to search for and assess relevant academic texts of a subject field
• the ability to develop and discuss a question within a specific field of literary science

Seminars.

1 approved oral assignment (determined by lecturer). Approved obligatory assignments are valid for 2 semesters (the semester in which the approval is given, plus the following semester).
