The Professional Voice

Through own experience, science and pedagogical methods, the students will extend their knowledge about what factors that influence the health of the voice, level of achievement and the mastering of stress factors. The subject is based on international science and development in the scientific field of voice physiology, voice acoustics and voice therapy.

The candidate:
- has insight in physical and mental elements that inflate the health and the capacity the voice for singers/artists.
- can analyze his or her health of the voice.
- is able to train his or here physiology of the voice and voice expression.

20 lessons in a group. Teamwork. Theoretical curriculum consists of 200 pages. Practical exercises: testing the resonance capacity of the voice, examine the functions of the voice with Voce Vista, ultrasound, EMG.

Work: 3 homework written papers, based on the subjects in The Professional Voice. Scope: about 2 typed A4 pages with 1.5 spacing, type size 12, and standard margins. The papers should be given in a personal form and language, with references to scientific articles, manuals and publications.
