Choral Conducting B

The course is comprised of conducting technique, interpretation and presentation, methodics, repertoire work and voicing. The student group functions as the course's rehearsal ensemble. Compulsory attendance in the Department's church choir for 2 hours pr. week.

Compulsory course in Singing as supporting instrument:
The course should provide the students with a basic introduction to rational and correct voicing for speaking and singing, in relation to various job functions, such as choral instruction, management of congregation-/ community singing, etc.

The course should provide knowledge of, and skills in conducting music.

Instruction in seminars of 2 hours pr. week for 27 weeks. Compulsory course.

Compulsory activity:
Satisfactory attendance in the compulsory instruction and completed compulsory course in singing – support instrument.

Compulsory course in Singing – support instrument:
Instruction: 0.5 hours pr. week for 27 weeks.
Assessment: Pass/fail based on attendance in the compulsory instruction.
