Basic Organ Playing

• Individual instruction, independent training.
• Basic course in how the organ is built and how it works, including an overview over the European History of Organ.
• Course in physiology including physiology, prevention of strain injuries, relaxation, concentration and warm-up exercises.

Knowledge:

The candidate:

• has knowledge about and controls relevant techniques in interpretation, practicing, musical performance preparations, and how to prevent body strain damages
• has basic knowlegde of the main content of the repertoire on his/her instrument
• has basic knowlegde of how the organ works and the history of the instrument.

Skills:

The candidate:

• shows skills in artistic expression
• has instrumental/vocal skills on a level that makes he/she able to carry out their artistic intentions
• can work goal-oriented and independent, alone and together with others
• has developed good ear and listening skills in the work with the main instrument.

• Individual instruction during course weeks
• Concert forum in group during course weeks
• Project - various instruction.
• Principal instrument report must be submitted at the end of autumn and spring term.
• Compulsory course in Physiology
• Compulsory course in Organ Knowledge

Instruction is obligatory and demands minimum 80% attendance.
