Composition Jazz C

The course is based on the individual student's music-generating aptitudes through aural-based composition and collective ensemble processes. The compositions are developed through analysis and use of compositional tools. Different aspects of Music Technology, such as creative use of musical software for live processing and in studio.

• has good knowledge of composing for different ensembles and instruments
• knows how music software can be creatively used for live processing and in studio

Skills:

The candidate:

• has skills in composing for different ensembles and instruments
• can use music software as a creative tool for live processing and in studio.

Lectures in style and musical analysis. Performances and recording of of the student's own production form the basis for individual tutoring.

Instruction is obligatory and demands minimum 80% attendance.
