Main Instrument E

The subject builds upon the contains of Instrument and Performing C, or equivalent. Individual and group lessons in main instrument with emphasis on independent work. The student will study and work with a large and varied repertoire.

Performative analysis is included in concert forum.

The subject emphasizes concert training, and the student must participate with solo or chamber musical repertoire in at least two concerts during the academic year. At least one of the concerts must be part of Department of Music's own concerts. The concerts are to be documented and approved in the semester reports. The student will also initiate and carry out a separate independent concert project and document this through a written reflective project report.

Main instrument and accompaniment lessons that are intended to enable the student to achieve the learning objectives in the course are offered no more than once.

An agreed accompaniment lesson that the student cancels on the same day is considered lost instruction and is included in the student's absence limit of a maximum of 20%.
