Improvisation - Elective Course

The course includes various musical forms of improvisation. Instruction will be adapted according to the needs and desires of participants and related to their instruments and genre preference.

The course can be included as an elective in the bachelor's degree in performance music - classical or Masters in Music Performance. The department assigns elective courses to students based on their prioritized preferences, as well as academic and resource considerations.

Knowledge:

The candidate:

• has knowledge about basic methodics related to chosen style of improvisation.

Skills:

The candidate

• Has skills in musical improvisation in a defined tradition
• Shows that she/he can improvise with musical intuition and creativity.

Regularly individual, group and/or project based instruction.

The instruction is mandatory and requires a minimum of 80% satisfactory participation.
