Principal Instrument C

Individual lectures and independent work on the instrument. In addition, the student must participate as a soloist or with chamber-music in a minimum of three concerts, including one concert organised by Department of music. The concerts must be documented in a confirmed semester-report.Participation in choir as an arena for practical aural training, and developing understanding in aural training.

Compulsory course in Music Presentation:
The course includes subjects such as concert arranging, scene performance, program planning, performance preparations, communication, the role of the manager, the role of the music producer, target audiences etc. The student will gain experience in preparation, implementation, and evaluation through a compulsory presentation project in cooperation with the Cultural Rucksack (DKS).

The candidate:
-Shows artistic expression and can relate to the audience in different performing settings.
-Has instrumental/vocal skills on a level that makes he/she able to carry out their artistic intentions.
-Can work goal-oriented and independent, alone and together with others.
-Has knowledge about and controls relevant techniques in interpretation, practicing, musical performance preparations, and how to prevent body strain damages.
-Has developed good ear and listening skills in the work with the main instrument.
-Has basic knowledge of the main content of the repertoire on their instrument.

-Individual tutoring: 1 lesson a week for 27 weeks.
-Interpretation - 2 group lessons for up to 25 weeks.
-Ensemble - 2 group lessons for 10 weeks.
-Interpretation and ensemble offerings may be rearranged.
-Accompaniment- 30 minutes lessons per week for 27 weeks for singers and relevant instruments.
-Project - various forms of instruction.
-Choir- 1 hour per week for 20 weeks. Focus: prima vista, harmonical understanding.
-Friday-concert
Principal instrument report must be submitted at the end of autumn and spring term.


Compulsory course in Music Presentation:
Instruction: Lectures on selected themes (see “Academic content”).
The amount of instruction may vary through the year, but will consist of approximately 27 lessons altogether. There will also be tutoring in connection with the compulsory project.
A project report must be submitted before April 30th.
