Research methodology in physical education

In this course, students learn the basis for choosing and discussing appropriate methodology related to issues within physical education as a school subject. The course aims to develop an understanding of what research and development entails, and to strengthen the students' ability to critically reflect on researchable questions in physical education. The course provides insight into how to work scientifically through discussion of different research designs and research methods' scientific theoretical basis, and how quality and research ethics are expressed in different parts of the research process. Through the course, the students will experience how to use various analyzes as part of elucidating current issues in relation to physical education as a school subject.

At the end of the course, the student is expected to

- Have in-depth knowledge of research methodology within physical education as a school subject
