Pedagogy and Pupil-related Skills 3 (1-7)

The course deals with the role of the school in society, including the understanding and implementation of the curriculum, 'Bildung' of the student and the importance of community for learning. It also covers critical analysis and application of the school's value base, questions of professional ethics and the use of research-based knowledge to prevent bullying. The course also focuses on challenges and opportunities in a diverse school environment.

• be able to identify and discuss questions of professional ethics based on ethical theory.
• can facilitate interaction in classes and groups in grades 1-7 and critically analyze the activity afterwards
• can apply research-based knowledge to prevent bullying and analyze and implement measures to counteract bullying

General competence

The student

• can identify and analyze challenges in everyday school life in a pluralistic school, and exploit the opportunities it provides.

The teaching methods vary between lectures, student-active seminars, and individual and group work. It is a prerequisite that the students participate actively in the teaching, and that they work with the teaching and learning materials on their own. Reflection on theory and practice is central to the development of professional competence in teaching.
