Physical Education 1 (1-7) module 2:Competence development for physical education teachers

Subject 2 physical education 1-7 must togetherwith subject 1 qualify for teaching physicaleducation from grades 1-7 in primary school.Subject 2 focuses on the student teacher'sdevelopment as a physical education teacherthrough theoretical and practical sessions. Thestudent teachers will have the opportunity todevelop their practical didactic competencethrough planning, implementation andassessment of their own and others' teachingpractice.

• has knowledge of implementation and evaluation ofteaching in physical education
• has knowledge of the body as a symbol in today'ssociety with a focus on how this is expressed inchildren's culture

• can carry out and assess teaching in physicaleducation based on legislation, the current curriculum,and professional ethical guidelines
• can facilitate learning work that can promote the joy ofmovement in play, activities in the local environment,and varied forms of movement
• can assess the student's physical learning andprerequisites as a basis for adapted training and feedback that promotes learning
• can develop and use their own skills and knowledge invaried movement activities such as play, dance, localoutdoor life, and sports activities with a view tobeginner training and teaching in physical education
• can assess the student's goal achievement, justify theassessments, and facilitate the student's selfassessment
• can identify dangers and ensure the pupils' safety invarious activities and movement environmentscan include the basic skills in teaching on the premisesof the subject

General competence

• can discuss how physical education contributes to thestudent's general education
• can communicate with pupils, parents, and colleaguesabout physical education

The program contains varied forms of learning with a lot of practical work in different learning environments. Students must work individually and in groups.
