Applied MCT Project 2

The aim of the course is to carry out a music technological project in a real-world setting and with external stakeholders. The aim of the project may be of a non-musical nature, but have a societal or industrial impact.

Knowledge: Having completed the course the student will:

• be able to plan and carry out a complete real-world project with a group of other students.
• be able to analyse the problem at hand, work structurally, and develop a solution to the problem.
• have thorough experience with working in an interdisciplinary team and reporting to an external partner.
• be able to critically reflect on all aspects of the development process, and the practical and aesthetic qualities of the developed solution.

The projects will be carried out in cross-campus teams:

• Introductory seminar during which the problems are defined in dialogue with the external partners
• Development phase with supervision
• Weekly seminars for presentation of progress
