About this course

Content

The aim of the course is to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of the foundations of entrepreneurship and how they can be applied in practice. Through a combination of readings, exercises, and practical, action-based learning, students will practice identifying problems, developing solutions, and learning how to bring their ideas (both business and non-business) into reality.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
After completing the course the candidate:
- is familiar with the theoretical foundations of entrepreneurship and how to apply them in practice
- has knowledge about different strategies to realise opportunities (from effectuation to Design Thinking)

Skills:
– has improved the ability to effectively communicate ideas and gain stakeholder buy-in
– has improved the capacity to challenge assumptions, identify problems, ask questions, understand users, run tests, and iterate solutions
– had moved from a passive mindset of asking “what do I do?” towards an active mindset of “I know what to try.

Teaching methods

Five seminars during the beginning of the semester which include discussion, exercises, and reflective learning activities

- Compulsory activities:
- Completion of learning diary
- Participation in at least 4 out of 5 seminars
