Content
Relevant topics are spatial population dynamics, migration, spatial heterogeneity, spatially correlated noise, community dynamics, stochastic abundance models (community models), abundance models in time and spaces, genetic drift and selection in fluctuating populations. Oral examination announced on the net.
Learning outcomes
1. Knowledge
The course covers topics in spatial population dynamics, migration, spatial heterogeneity, spatially correlated noise, community dynamics, stochastic abundance models (community models), abundance models in time and spaces, genetic drift and selection in fluctuating populations.
2. Skills
The students should be able to recognize problems related to the topics mentioned above and fulfill researches related to complicated models in population biology, including interdisciplinary projects.
3. Competence
The students should be able to participate in joint researches and scientific discussions on international level, be able to learn new topics related to population biology and related subjects.
