General Didactics and Counselling

Lectures and seminars will familiarise the students with literature and research related to didactic issues. The subject will especially focus on what the practitioner can interpret and do in relation to didactic planning and teaching. The subject will also focus on values anchored in the national steering documents, and dilemmas the practitioner may face in relation to different values.

The student has
- thorough knowledge on various didactical perspectives and models on different levels (political level, school level, classroom level, individual level)
- the ability to analyse curricula from different perspectives, and the ability to prepare local curricula and teaching plans based on the overriding documents
- broad research-based knowledge of how counselling can contribute to the development of professional teaching practice

Instruction will be given as lectures, seminars, and student papers.
